*CHARLES DALY DIAMOND QUALITY DRILLING. Cal. 12X12/8X57JR (30/30 Winchester). SN 22093 made in 1928. Beautiful boxlock drilling with sideplates that has 26-5/16″ bbl cluster, flat tapered matted rib with bead front sight & articulated rear sight. It has Greener rib extension with dbl bite & extractors. Rib is marked with the maker’s name and “DIAMOND QUALITY”. It is mounted with spectacular honey & chocolate marble-cake French walnut with skip-line checkered black insert splinter forearm & pistol grip stock with black diamond inserts back of the side panel with cheek piece & checkered hard rubber buttplate. Bbls & stock have narrow sling swivels. Receiver & sideplates are wonderfully full coverage engraved with vignettes of flying ducks on the left side & a bull moose head on the right side. All surrounded by foliage & floral arabesque patterns. Maker’s name is in tiny gold letters on each side. Fences are scalloped with side clips & top of the receiver has three cocked indicators. It has a thumb switch for the bbl & rear sight and has a Greener thumb safety on the left side. Front trigger is set for the rifle bbl. Drop at the heel 2-3/4″, drop at the comb 1-3/4″. Bore restrictions: left – .023, right – .001. Weight: 6 lbs. 3.5 oz. CONDITION: Extremely fine. Bbls retain 97-98% strong bright orig blue. Receiver & sideplates retain most of their bright orig case colors, slightly faded on the right side and front of the bottom. Trigger guard retains most of its orig blue. Wood is sound with light nicks & scratches with the buttstock retaining 50-60% orig light thin finish. Forearm shows heavier wear with some oil staining.
