*BERETTA MODEL 687EELL OVER/UNDER SHOTGUN. Cal. 12 ga. SN E04755B. Fine field gun with 28″ vent rib bbls, removable chokes, dbl beads, ejectors & sgl selective trigger. Receiver & sideplates are coin finished and beautifully engraved by Battega C. Giovanelli and is signed on the trigger plate. Engraving consists of beautiful Bulino style scenes of a flock of mallards on the left side, a covey of quail on the right side & a woodcock on the bottom, all surrounded by flourishes of very fine foliate arabesque patterns. Each side & the bottom of the receiver also have the maker’s name engraved. It is mounted in very highly figured streaky shell grain Circassian walnut with checkered wrap around forearm & pistol grip stock, 14-1/4″ over a serrated wood buttplate. Drop at the heel 2-1/8”, drop at the comb 1-1/4”. Weight: 7 lbs, 7.9oz. CONDITION: Extremely fine. Bbls retain about 98% strong bright orig blue. Receiver & sideplates retain virtually all of their orig coin finish with some very fine pitting on the right sideplate. Wood is sound and retains most of its orig hand rubbed finish.
