PAIR OF PETTIBONE THEATRICAL SWORDS. 17-1/2” diamond shape blades. Marked “PETTIBONE MFG. CO. / MILITARY & SOCIETY GOODS / CINCINNATI OHIO” on the blade near the hilt. The light weight brass scabbards are decorated with orange and turquoise glass buttons. The heavy brass hilts have a partial armor with helmet and halberds. These are mounted on a wood shield. CONDITION: Blades are bright. Exterior metal has a very dark patina. Shield is cracked with numerous holes. Wm. Hancock Collection 4-58642 (250-500)
