RARE L.C. SMITH TRAP GRADE DBL BBL SHOTGUN. SN RE99787. 12 ga. 30” ventilated ribbed shotgun. The beaver tail forearm is a much later addition, probably at the same time as the solid red recoil pad which gives a 14-1/4” pull, and the ventilated rib. The right lockplate has light scroll engraving around the edge and a man shooting at a bird. The left side shows several men lined up to shoot behind a trap house. CONDITION: Fading casehardening colors on the action and orig blue on the trigger guard. Wood is broken repaired refinished and broken again. Bbls retain most of the dull blue applied at the time of the ventilated rib. 4-57181 X131 (800-1,200)
