FOUR BRONZE ART MEDALS. 1) 2-3/4″ bronze commemorating the Hopi tribe, the edge inscribed “The society of medalists third issue”. Also, “Medallic Art Co. NY”. The obverse showing five Hopi Indians, one grabbing a snake. The reverse showing them running with snakes in hand titled “Prayer for Rain”. The medal signed “H.A. MacNeil”. 2) Same as above except with green patina. 3) 2-3/4″ bronze medallion commemorating Charles A. Lindbergh. The edge “The society of medalists forth issue”. Also, “Medallic Art Co. NY”. The obverse showing a bust of Lindbergh with his plane in the background. The reverse showing a skeleton with robe, an eagle, and nude woman with wind blower. Housed in its original box. 4) Bronze medallion commemorating Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. The edge marked “Tiffany & Co.. The obverse having a bust of Longfellow within wreath edge dated “1807-1907”. Signed by the sculptor R.L. Pratt, 1907. The reverse inscribed “Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, Poet Born Portland, Maine February 27-1807 Died in Cambridge Massachusetts March 24-1882”. CONDITION: Generally very good, some high surfaces with minimal wear. 9-22550 (300-500)
