*PURDEY BOXLOCK DBL BBL SHOTGUN. Cal. 16 ga. SN 19452. Great field gun with 27-7/8″ bbls choked FULL/MOD with smooth concave swamped tapered rib with sgl bead, dbl chopper lump, third bite rib extension, ejectors & dbl triggers. It is mounted with very fine nicely figured English walnut with checkered splinter forearm & straight stock with raised teardrop side panels, 14-5/8″ over a solid red pad. Receiver & floorplate are lightly engraved with leaf & vine patterns and has the maker’s name on each side. Receiver is coin finished with blued floorplate & trigger guard. Stock has a silver initial plate on the bottom. Drop at the heel – 2-5/8”. Drop at the comb 1-1/2”. Bore restrictions: left – .023, right – .010. Weight: 7 lbs, 8.5 oz. CONDITION: Very fine to extremely fine. Bbls retain about 98% strong bright orig blue. Receiver retains most of its bright finish and the floorplate & trigger guard most of their orig blue slightly thin on the lower tang.
