PAIR OF ITALIAN GRAND TOUR ALABASTER AND MARBLE CANDLESTICKS. Late 19th century. Of Classical form, the bobeche and bases of carved alabaster, the bases of water leaf design. Shafts of breschia marble in shades of beige, cream and brown. SIZE: 9-1/2″ h. CONDITION: One candlestick broken in two places in shaft and reassembled. Second candlestick has been glued together at seams. Underside of plinth with some loss. 9-23363 (600-1,000)
