OUTSTANDING MAJESTIC SALESMAN SAMPLE STOVE. Often referred to as a salesman sample and a toy by others. In either case, this is perhaps one of the finest stoves of all time. A huge nickel plated oval emblem on the front of the oven door depicts an ocean liner and is emblazoned with the words “The Great Majestic”. There are several versions of this stove, and perhaps this is the best since it has nickel plated iron legs. An abundance of nickel plated parts adorn the iron and steel frame. The tin stove pipe (original?) extends the height of the stove another two feet. It retains all three detachable trays, two to the warming oven and one to the right of the stove as well as its original crank for internal coal shaker and lid lifter. SIZE: 31″ t x 18″ w x 16″ d. CONDITION: Overall very good to fine. 1-7203 JL (3,500-5,500) Auction: Advertising, Toy & Doll - Spring 2007 Please Note: All prices include the hammer price plus the buyer’s premium, which is paid by the buyer as part of the purchase price. The prices noted here after the auction are considered unofficial and do not become official until after the 46th day. |
