FINE 19TH CENTURY RUSSIAN SILVER MOUNTED SWORD (SHASQA). The sharp edge curved blade having 5″ of engraved design with scrolls & flowers. The handle in gilt silver with niello decorated silver inlay. The handle with a top notch. Unsigned. The matching scabbard in leather having silver niello work on the tip, mid-section, and top sections. The top niello section of the scabbard having a date of “1896” with a flower below. SIZE: Scabbard: 34″. Overall sword: 35-1/2″. Blade is 30″. CONDITION: Very good, some minor wear to scabbard leather, nice patina. 9-23168 (6,000-9,000)
