*SPECTACULAR CASED BROWNING MIDAS GRADE SUPERPOSED SHOTGUN. Cal. 20 ga. SN 54467V9. Fine Midas grade with 26-3/8″ bbls choked FULL/MOD with narrow, hand matted rib, sgl ivory bead, ejectors & sgl selective trigger. Mounted with very highly figured tiger striped American walnut with rnd checkered forearm & rnd knob short tang stock with raised side panels & extended checkering patterns, 14-1/4″ over a black Browning composition buttplate. Receiver has full coverage engraving by R. Greco whose signature appears on both sides. It has large vignettes of three flying gold pheasant in a detailed woodland scene on the left side, three flying gold ducks in a detailed marsh scene on the right side & a flying gold quail on the bottom. Top tang has “S” in gold. Trigger guard, opening lever, forend iron & 2″ up the bbl are engraved to match. Accompanied by a Browning rnd corner, brown, leatherette, faux fur lined trunk case along with its plastic warranty card made out to Thomas Barletta of Punxutawney, PA, owner’s manual & other papers. Unfortunately, this is a salt gun as there is evidence of some fine pitting where the stock meets the metal on the right & left loops. Bore restrictions: top – .022, bottom – .008. CONDITION: As noted. Otherwise the metal retains virtually all of its orig factory blue. Wood is sound with some finish bubbling & loss on the forearm, otherwise retains about all of its orig factory finish. Mechanics are fine, bright shiny bores. 4-56856 (7,500-10,000)
