RUSSIAN GOLD CIGARETTE CASE. Exceptionally fine Russian 14kt yellow gold cigarette case has impressed curving diagonal lines fanning across the top and bottom of the case. Lid of the cigarette case is further decorated with a white gold crown encrusted with round and rose cut diamonds. Case is finished with a cabochon blue sapphire knob and blue woven silk tassel. Inside the case is an applied plaque with the Coat of Arms of the Russian Prince Michael Evlanoff. Case is impressed on the inside with a “56” hallmark indicating 14kt gold. Along with the case is a calling card of Prince Michael Evlanoff with a handwritten note on the card “This little souvenir is my deepest gratitude for your sincere friendship, trust, devotion and all your efforts and sacrifices in helping me to publish the book about Alfred Nobel. The success of this book will be your success because you made it. Thank you…God Bless You. Always Yours. Michael”. SIZE: Box is 3-5/8″ x 2-1/2″.
