FINE JIM PUGH CUSTOM ART KNIFE. Beautiful custom Bowie with 7-7/8” clip-point Bowie blade, signed in script on left ricasso with maker’s name and in Old English block letters on right ricasso “PUGH”. Blade has 1-3/4” of file work along back edge with 6” of sharpened back edge. Cut out at bottom of ricasso also has file work. It has a striking large silver rattlesnake head pommel with a 2-1/2” rattlesnake rattle hand guard, the bottom 7/8” of which is articulated like a real rattlesnake rattle. Handle material is two pieces of ivory with three file worked aluminum spacers and red & white fiber spacers. The front ivory section has complete coverage and the rear ivory section has coverage on back & sides only of fabulous scrimshawed snakeskin colored in diamondback patterns. Accompanied by its spectacular orig black leather sheath, signed with the same Old English block letter name “PUGH”. Scabbard has spacers around front & rear edges with silver metal whip stitching and has three diamonds on front side with a single diamond on back side and a sewn on belt loop. CONDITION: As new, unsharpened with all the orig polish on blade and finish on handle. Sheath is equally new. 4-59095 JR409 (5,000-10,000)
