*SPECTACULAR WINCHESTER MODEL 21 GRAND AMERICAN DBL BBL SHOTGUN 2-BBL SET. Cal. 12 ga. SN W32907. Rare & unusual skeet/trap combination set with 26″ & 32″ vent rib bbls with two forearms. The 26″ bbls are choked WS1/WS2 and the 32″ bbls are choked FULL/MOD. Ribs have dbl ivory beads & are marked “CUSTOM BUILT BY WINCHESTER FOR D.W. ELLIS JR.”. It is mounted with extremely, fine-grained, sunburst, center crotch cut, American walnut, Monte Carlo stock with a trap style forearm on the 32″ bbls & a skeet style forearm on the 26″ bbls. All three pieces of the wood are “B” carved with fleur-de-lis and ribbons and the stock is 14-3/4″ over an orig black Winchester waffle pad. It has a flat side receiver with large vignette of a gold setter on the left side, a gold pointer on the right side, two gold pheasant on the floorplate and a gold spaniel head on the trigger bow, all surrounded by full coverage fine foliate arabesque patterns. Grip cap has gold “GRAND AMERICAN” and the outer edge has a gold wire inlay. Engraving extends 3″ over the chamber areas of both sets of bbls. Accompanied by its orig brown leather, burgundy felt-lined, trunk case with compartments for both sets of bbls with forearms, the stocked receiver and a pair of nickeled snap caps. Lid is gold embossed “D.W.E. JR.” Drop at the heel 1-5/8″, Drop at the end of the comb 1-1/4″, drop at front of the comb 1-1/8″. Bore restrictions: 32″ bbls: left – .030, right – .016. 26″ bbls: left – .009, right – .003. Weight with 26″ bbls: 8 lbs. 1.6 oz. CONDITION: Extremely fine plus. Appears new. Retains virtually all of a fine professionally restored finish to both metal & wood, probably factory. Some small spots of pitting on the floorplate. Stock finish has a couple of tiny spots of crazing near the pad and a couple of small dings on the left side. Receiver has an area of finish at the top rear that has turned purple. Mechanics are fine, bright shiny bores. Case is slightly scuffed on the corner reinforcements with a nick or two on the body, otherwise extremely fine. 4-56434 JR567 (30,000-50,000)
