CHARLES VALTON (FRENCH, 1851-1918) PATINATED METAL FIGURE OF A CHAINED MASTIFF. The dog chained to a fence, fore paws on an overturned tub. On a naturalistic oval base, with inscribed signature “C. VALTON” at front of base. SIZE: 11-1/2″ h. x 9″ overall l. CONDITION: With good dark patina. Chain is unattached from fence, some surface scratches on back of figure. 9-95099 (200-400)
