*CASED CHAPUIS DBL RIFLE. Cal. 8X57JRS. SN 37596. Fine modern dbl rifle with 23-9/16″ bbls with ivory bead pedestal front sight & fixed rear sight mounted on a quarter rib. Rib has maker’s name. It has ejectors & dbl triggers. Bottom of the left bbl is marked with Cape Outfitter import mark. It has a scalloped boxlock receiver with beautiful rose & scroll engraving with about 65-70% coverage. It is mounted in highly figured center crotch cut tiger stripe walnut with checkered semi-beavertail forearm & pistol grip stock with raised side panels, 15″ over a serrated hard rubber buttplate. Weight: 7 lbs, 7.5 ozs. Accompanied by its orig plastic case with foam lined lid & a set of European sized sling loops that could be installed. Bottom rib has a plugged screw hole for the front swivel. Accompanied by its orig target, warranty card and proof certificate. CONDITION: Extremely fine, as new. Retains virtually all of its orig factory finish to both metal & wood with brilliant case colors on the receiver, trigger guard & forend iron. Crisp mechanics, brilliant bores. Appears to be unfired.
