Spectacular deluxe rifle with 24″ oct to rnd bbl, 3/4 magazine, windage globe front sight, slot blank in the rear dovetail and a Lyman loop tang sight. The receiver and forend cap are beautifully engraved in Conrad Ulrich style, consisting of a large oval vignette on each side with a full-bodied tiger in a jungle scene on the left side and a standing setter in a field scene on the right side. Both panels are surrounded by full coverage foliate arabesque patterns with punch dot background. The bottom of the receiver has a scallop shell design with light arabesque patterns. The top of the receiver has fine arabesque patterns, which extend about 2-1/2″ up the bbl. The forend cap also has a scallop shell pattern with arabesque patterns and the top tang has light border and arabesque patterns. All in all, one of the most beautiful and rare Model 97’s. Receiver retains most of its brilliant case colors with some graying on the forward thin edges. Lever and hammer retain most of their original case colors turning silver on the loop. Wood is sound with a few light nicks and scratches, otherwise retains virtually all of its original piano varnish finish.
