DANCING LADY AUTOMATON. 16-1/2″, (42 cm), figure (20″, 51 cm including base), with pressed cloth (boudoir doll)-style head with dramatic eye decoration, wearing original undergarments, but possibly replaced silk two-piece dress. This key wind musical automaton has excellent movement as the dancing figure spins in a circle, the free leg pirouettes in and then back out with the head tilting with each rotation. The mechanism works well and the music is strong. CONDITION: Hair soiled with stains on the face, slight mildew damage to original blue velvet box cover. 1-7553 RS (750-1,250)
