BING I-48 LOCOMOTIVE. Stout black locomotive with interesting conical nose, red pinstripes, and red spokes. Cab is marked “I=48”. Textured running boards and is marked “DRGM” at front. Forward/reverse lever (missing knob). Originally purchased by the consignor’s great-grandfather in Nurnberg ca. 1914-1915 and has descended through the family. It is now offered for the first time at public auction. SIZE: 11″ l. CONDITION: Scattered chips and scratches, predominantly to cab. Boiler has small dent at connection point to one side rail. Otherwise generally good. 1-7096 (1,500-2,000)
