AMERICAN PARCEL GILT PIER MIRROR. Circa 1860. The rectangular mirror plate with arched top within a conforming molded gilt frame with rope twist edge, surmounted by S-and-C scrolled grapevine crest, the base molding with C-scrolled leafy corners. The whole accompanied by and mounted on a shaped white marble shelf supported by scrolled iron brackets cast with fanciful birds. SIZE: Mirror: 96-1/2″ x 29-1/2″. Overall assembled: 112″ h. CONDITION: Mirror plate very good. Frame with original gilding having minor losses on base molding. Marble and brackets very good. 9-96529 (700-900)
