SCARCE ELEY’S RIFLE & HAND GUN CARTRIDGE BOARD. Mounted in its orig deep shadow box picture frame with black & silver faced gesso outer frame & a salmon colored inner frame with yellow backing board mounted with 35 centerfire rifle cartridges, 30 centerfire hand gun cartridges, 15 rimfire cartridges & 5 pinfire cartridges including a number of quite rare examples. Top of the board is printed “ELEY’S SOLID DRAWN / AMMUNITION FOR RIFLES & REVOLVERS”. Center vignette is apparently the company crest. CONDITION: Very fine plus. Cartridges are bright & clean with one or two slightly oxidized. Backing board is a bright orig gold color with crisp clean lettering. Frame has a few small chips in the edges but should be easily repaired. 4-57002 JR721 (3,000-5,000)
