JOHN BIRGE & CO. SPLIT COLUMN MAHOGANY SHELF CLOCK. Fabulous original label with engraving of a steam locomotive “The Breeze”. Birge made clocks in Bristol, Conn. From 1830 – 1837. Brass double key movement. Mahogany veneered case with split round columns. Key and pendulum present. SIZE: 32″h x 18″w. CONDITION: Generally good, some veneer chips. 14-34 (300-500).
