WINCHESTER LOW WALL SGL SHOT RIFLE. Cal. 32 Long RF. SN 46114. Standard grade rifle with #1 oct bbl cut to 18-1/8″ (probably to be used as a trapper’s rifle) with Rocky Mountain front sight & semi-buckhorn rear sight with replacement elevator. It has straight grain American walnut wood with black insert semi-Schnable tip forearm & straight stock with crescent buttplate. Entire rifle including wood has a heavy coating of old dried oil or wax. CONDITION: Very fine plus. Bbl, as noted, retains 97-98% bright orig blue. Receiver retains virtually all of its brilliant case colors. Lever retains about 90% strong bright case colors and the hammer about 95%. Buttplate retains 50-60% fading case colors. Rear tang screw is a replacement. Wood is sound with minor nicks & dings and retains virtually all of its orig factory varnish. Crisp mechanics, bright shiny bore.
