SWISS 12″ DISC MUSIC BOX. Last quarter 19th century. Rectangular lid, press carved with birds and flowering branches. Lid mounted with a lion’s mask and opening to interior fitted with musical movement with a dust covered hinged lid. Burl walnut case, corners mounted with engaged quarter columns and fitted with operational brass levers on a molded plinth. SIZE: 9″ h x 19-1/2″ w x 15″ d. PROVENANCE: Robert Frederick Woolworth Estate, Monmouth, Maine. (F.W. Woolworth Store). CONDITION: Comb and teeth are intact. Engraved with serial number 80259. Needs cleaning.
