FINE FOUR PANEL INLAID AND LACQUER FLOOR SCREEN. Dated 1853, China. The rosewood frame inset with lacquer panels inlaid with figures of the poets Wang Hsi Chih, Wang Wei, Li Po, and Tu Fu. Inlays of died ivory, coral, mother of pearl and other materials. All accompanied by poems inlaid in mother of pearl characters. The reverse decorated overall with painted birds, flowers & calligraphy. SIZE: 64″ h x 20″ w of each panel. CONDITION: Generally very good. 7-73004 (3,000-5,000)
