17-1/2″ CYLINDER MUSIC BOX WITH BELLS, DRUM & ZITHER. The walnut and rosewood case with book-matched burl panels framing a central ebony cartouche with scrolling boule and central abalone inlay, the whole within rosewood cross-banding. The lid opening to an ebonized interior, fitted with a brass movement mounted with six silvered bells struck by mallets flanked by a simulated burl zither and large brass drum. The 17-1/2″ brass cylinder playing eight tunes. SIZE: 12″ h x 34-1/2″ l x 15″ d. PROVENANCE: From a Massachusetts Collection. CONDITION: Case professionally refinished and re-polished. Works appear to have been cleaned, music box with nice tone, all instruments appear in working order. 9-22330 (2,000-4,000)
