*MARLIN MODEL 1893 SADDLE RING CARBINE. Cal. 30-30. SN D5373. Standard carbine with 20″ rnd bbl, full magazine, square base front sight & carbine ladder rear sight. Left side of the receiver has holes for a saddle ring staple. Wood is straight grain American walnut with carbine forearm & straight stock with carbine buttplate. Entire carbine has a heavy coating of old dried oil or wax. CONDITION: Good to very good. Bbl & magazine tube retain about 90% strong orig blue turning plum in some areas with spots of brown showing through. Receiver retains 60-70% thin faded case colors. Lever retains 30-40% thin case colors & the hammer about 85% strong colors. Wood is sound showing heavy wear, dark & oil stained near the receiver & on the comb with some battering on the forearm with a dark hand rubbed patina.
