RARE BALLY 5¢/5¢ DOUBLE BELL SLOT MACHINE. In all original untouched condition this rare gambling machine would allow two players at the same time. Circa 1930s, this was one of a handful of gambling machines that were produced by Bally manufacturing. A most complicated mechanism would eventually add to the demise of this as well as other Bally machines in the market place because when mechanical failure occurred that usually entailed more work to correct the fault then their competition’s machines! These machines are highly sought after by collectors as only small quantities survived over the years and many were either destroyed or scrapped out during WWII. The machine can be played by depositing a coin in the left, right or both slots and then pulling the handle. It operates like a normal slot machine but it has independent coin tubes & payout slides as well as jackpots. It has completely original painted surfaces, cabinet finish, reel strips, etc. Retains original cash box in bottom of machine. SIZE: 18″ w x 26-1/2″ h x 15-1/2″ d. CONDITION: Mechanism is functional although mechanism should be lubricated/adjusted as reels tend to be a little sluggish & payout is not always correct. 1-8580 JL (4,000-5,000)
