SETH THOMAS WALNUT 2 WEIGHT “GARFIELD” SHELF CLOCK. Last quarter 19th century. Walnut case with crenelated crest, movement with white painted dial, time and strike apertures and with Roman numeral chapter ring. Mounted with Cathedral gong marked “PATENTED MAY 9 1882″ with beat scale and with damascene pendulum. Base retains original Seth Thomas paper label. Clock sold with pendulum, winder and pair of brass clad cylinder weights. SIZE: 29-1/2″ h x 15-1/2″ w overall x 6-1/2” d. CONDITION: Case retains old cleaned surfaces. Gong, pendulum and beat scale all appear original. Proper right front foot missing bottom trim. Otherwise very good. 9-23179 (800-1,200)
