LEONARD SUPERPOSED RIFLE SHOTGUN. Cal. 36/18 ga. 28-5/8” rnd bbls. U.S. Cartridge Company collection number 1393 is stamped three times on the wood. Marked “A LEONARD & SON SAXTONS RIVER VT. / CAST-STEEL” on top of the bbl behind the rear sight. The lockplates are commercial “WARREN / & STEELE / ALBANY” locks. The shotgun bbl shows a strong Damascus pattern. The German silver mountings are lightly engraved. CONDITION: Fine overall. 85% original brown on the bbls, gray/brown patina around the nipples. Stock retains most of its original varnish. Action is good. There is a small piece of wood replaced between the lock and rear of the bbl on the right side. 4-52612 FS54 (1,250-2,500)
