COLT FRONTIER SIX SHOOTER SINGLE ACTION ARMY REVOLVER. Cal. 44 WCF (44-40). SN 153827. Blue & case colored with 7-1/2″ bbl, 1-line block letter address with roll-marked legend “COLT FRONTIER SIX SHOOTER” on left side of bbl. It has rampant Colt hard rubber grips numbered to another revolver. Accompanied by a Colt factory letter identifying this revolver and indicating shipment Oct. 27, 1893 to the Colt agency, San Francisco, CA in a shipment of 10 same type guns. CONDITION: Fine. Bbl retains 65-70% strong orig blue worn to patina mostly on left side with muzzle wear & some thinning on top of bbl. Ejector rod housing retains about 70% orig blue, strong in gullets. Cylinder retains thin blue in flutes with balance a gray patina. Frame retains 40-50% thin orig case colors & hammer about 60% thin orig case colors. Grip frame & trigger guard retain about 25% orig blue with balance a blue/gray patina. Grips show light to moderate wear. Cylinder pin is a modern replacement.
