UNSIGNED (French, 19th Century) PAIR OF 17TH CENTURY STYLE FIGURES OF MEN. Bronze figures set atop matching gray and red marble square plinths having turnip type brass feet. Each man sits on a naturalistic ground, one holding a cup with arm curled toward chest which may have held something at one time. The other holds a round drum on his lap and his hand holds what probably was some sort of stick which is not present. Unsigned but with a very nice aged patina. SIZE: Bronze is 7″ h. 9-1/2″ with base. CONDITION: As noted above, otherwise very good. 9-90691 (800-1,200)
