FRENCH EMPIRE DORE BRONZE SHELF CLOCK. Mid 19th century. Cast with a robed male figure leaning against a cabinet surmounted by an encrier fitted with an 8 day time and strike brass movement, stamped with the serial number 3484, the enamel dial with Roman numeral chapter ring on a rectangular base with outswept concave frieze, cast with ribbon tied garlands of fruit and flowers, further raised on a plinth applied with scrolling vines and seashells on scrolled French feet. SIZE: 15″ h x 12″ w x 4-3/4″ d. CONDITION: Case professionally cleaned, mechanism appears functional. 9-95804 (800-1,200)
