SPECTACULAR EARLY REMINGTON UMC FIELD REP’S TABLE COVER. Painted on canvas, this wonderful banner may be one of a kind from the early part of the 20th C. It measures 57″ long x about 28″ high with a metal grommet in four corners. Image is most unusual in that it depicts two Indians on horseback shooting at running buffalo with Model 14 or 14-1/2 Remington pump rifles. Top of the banner is attached to an oilcloth or canvas flap about 19″ wide that would have been used by the field rep during a demonstration to drape the table where he would display the company merchandise. Or it could have been used simply as a banner. CONDITION: Exceptionally fine. Colors are vivid and bright with slight soil on the white edge at the right end and a small water stain by the big buffalo. Otherwise near new. There are 3 folds that will eventually press out. 4-58858 (15,000-20,000)
