FRENCH DORE BRONZE FIGURAL MANTEL CLOCK. Third quarter 19th century. Modeled with a reclining maiden on a grassy knoll in mid-eastern costume, cast with lion’s mask and applied flower heads. The 8 day brass movement with silk thread suspension with the serial number 2271 and fitted with enameled dial and time and strike apertures. The base cast with scrolled foliate cartouches, raised on scrolled feet. SIZE: 12-1/2″ h x 10″ w x 3-1/4″ d. CONDITION: Very good overall. The enameled dial with some chips and hairline cracks. 9-95803 (800-1,200)
