*FINE COLT FRONTIER SIX SHOOTER SINGLE ACTION ARMY REVOLVER. Cal. 44 WCF. SN 281614. Blue & case colored with 71/2″ bbl, orig front sight, two line patent dates and rampant colt with circle. It has rampant Colt hard rubber grips that have the last four digits of the serial number scratched on the inside. Accompanied by a colt factory letter identifying this revolver, type of stocks not listed, indicating shipment September 17, 1906 to George Tritch Hardware Company Denver, Colorado in a shipment of ten same type guns. CONDITION: Fine. Bbl retains 70-75% strong bright orig blue with the majority of the losses on the left side of the bbl. Ejector rod housing retains about 80% strong orig blue. Frame retains about 75% orig case colors strong and bright in the sheltered areas and on the lower left side of the frame, the hammer retains most of its orig case colors, faded and turning silver on the top edge with a spot of rust. Cylinder retains about 80% strong orig blue with one area of light fine pitting. Grip frame is a mottled blue/gray patina with strong blue in the sheltered areas. Grips are sound and show light wear.
