*EARLY MADE IN ITALY WEATHERBY MARK XXII. SN 09950. Cal. 22LR. 24″ round bbl. Serrated ramp front with dovetail gold bead sight, pedestal three-leaf rear sight, one standing, two folding. Left side over chamber marked “CALIBER/22L.R.”. Right side “MADE IN ITALY”. Groove top receiver marked forward left side “MARK XXII/PAT.PEND.” and center “WEATHERBY”. Right side has selector switch for auto (semi-auto) and SS for single shot. Safety is on tang behind receiver. Mounted with lightly figured walnut, skip line checkered panels on forearm, skip line checkered pistol grip, Monte Carlo with left side cheek piece and checkered steel buttplate. Accompanied with two 5-shot and one 10-shot magazine. Also equipped with a Buckheimer adjustable leather sling. PROVENANCE: Dr. Charles Bradley, Lubbock, TX. CONDITION: Extremely fine, retains nearly all of its original factory finish with just a couple of small handling marks, wood finish shows some typical minor crazing. Mechanics are crisp with a bright shiny bore as gun has seen very little use. 9-21210 (400-700)
