INLAID MAHOGANY HEPPLEWHITE CARD TABLE. D-shaped fold over lid has banded edge. Frieze decorated by a central figured wood square panel banded in rosewood. Flanked by mahogany panels also banded in rosewood. Tapered legs having inlaid panel with exotic wood and at the top of the legs is an oval in burl wood. There is an old typed paper on the inside back of the bottom stating “Sheraton Side Table, Folding Top Left at Robinson Hou? Newport, RI by Boarder”. PROVENANCE: The J. Hollis Wyman Estate, Milbridge, Maine (State Senator and Wild Blueberry King). SIZE: Top is 36” x 18”; 29-1/2” h. CONDITION: Generally very good. 9-29340 (1000-1500)
