LARGE ROSE MEDALLION COVERED BALUSTER JAR. Second half 19th century. The jar, fitted with a helmet-shaped lid, decorated with opposing panels depicting an assembly of men carrying placards, alternating with panels of birds, butterflies, and flowers. SIZE: 26-1/2″ overall h. CONDITION: The finial with roughness at tip and minor rim chip, the jar with small chips and enamel flakes around shoulder. Otherwise very good. 9-92723 (3,000-5,000)
