FINE SWISS 12 TUNE MUSIC BOX. Last quarter of 19th cent. Mounted in a rosewood, grained, and ebonized case, inlaid on the lid with a floral spray, mandolin and French horn. The hinge lid opens to reveal a 13-1/2″ twelve tune cylinder. The original chromograph label listing the titles of the twelve works within. Handwritten serial number “75804”. The mounting bracket for the cylinder stamped with the serial number “91048”. SIZE: 7-1/2″ h x 26-3/4″ l x 11-1/4″ d. CONDITION: The mechanisms and workings appear to be in very good order. The case with original surfaces structurally good, the finish somewhat dry, and in need of a cleaning. 9-96610 (1,500-2,500)
