NEW ENGLAND CLASSICAL CARVED MAHOGANY LOVESEAT. Circa 1850. The shaped rectangular pillow crest rail flanked by carved stylized eagle’s heads above the padded back. The rolled S-scrolled arms, acanthus carved with floral terminals centering bolsters and a padded seat, raised on winged carved claw feet. SIZE: 38″ h x 66″ l. CONDITION: Upholstered in a green velvet fabric, with old cleaned surfaces. Frame is tight with no breaks or repairs. Very good overall. 9-96526 (1,200-2,000)
