PAIR OF “STANTON HALL” SOFAS BY J. & J.W. MEEKS. . This pair of laminated rosewood sofas produced sometime around 1860. Having lovely detail scrolled leaf-carved and pierced rail and having gadrooned cresting centered by a cartouche in floral design. Very tastefully upholstered. The scrolled arms centering the upholstered seat with molded serpentine rail and carved central cartouche raised on short molded cabriole legs all resting on brass caster. SIZE: Each 45″ h. x 64″ overall l. CONDITION: In very fine condition overall, original nicely cleaned surface. The floral silk brocade in excellent shape.
