WINCHESTER MODEL 1873 LEVER ACTION MUSKET. Cal. 44 WCF (44-40). SN 569809. Standard musket with 30″ rnd bbl, full magazine, square base front sight/bayonet lug and 900 yard ladder musket rear sight. It has nicely figured American walnut wood with full-length forearm, three bands & musket buttstock with swivel & trapdoor buttplate containing an orig 5-pc, all steel, wiping rod. Accompanied by an orig socket bayonet. CONDITION: Very fine. As completely restored, retains virtually all of this custom finish under a heavy coating of old dried oil or wax.
