FINE GERMAN 12 TUNE MUSIC BOX. Mid-19th century. This example mounted in an inlaid rosewood and walnut case, the lid inlaid with a scene of swans swimming in a mill pond. Beneath the lid is the original card listing the 12 tunes, marked with the serial number 18754 above the illegible maker’s name, above the town name Erfurt (Germany). The brass movement featuring a 17″ cylindrical cone is currently in good working order. SIZE: 10-1/4″ h x 28-1/2″ l x 11-1/4″ d.
