DELUXE WINCHESTER MODEL 1873 LEVER ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 44 WCF (44-40). SN 170666. Fine dlx rifle with 24-1/4″ oct bbl, full magazine, half-nickel front sight, semi-buckhorn rear sight & beautiful sunburst flame grain center crotch cut American walnut wood with “H” style checkered forearm & black insert pistol grip stock with crescent buttplate & strap. CONDITION: Good. No orig finish remains on bbl & magazine tube with both being a medium to dark brown patina. Bbl has a few nicks & dings and a series of scratches on the side flats. Magazine tube has a small dent near the muzzle end. Receiver retains traces of silvered casehardening being mostly a gray/brown patina. Wood is sound with a gouge in the wrist, light nicks & scratches elsewhere showing heavy use with a dark oil stained forearm and about 50% orig finish on the buttstock.
