RARE SETH THOMAS REGINA STYLE #3 MUSICAL HALL TALL CASE CLOCK. First quarter of the 20th Century. Rahway, N.J. The classical revival mahogany case with spiral twist columns mounted with a Seth Thomas eight-day time & strike, two-weight movement, connected to a 15-1/2″ disc Regina double comb music box mechanism, spring wound with manual or automatic play. The brass dial with Arabic chapter ring. The clock mechanism starts the music box upon striking the hour. The Regina may also be played independently of the clock movement. NOTE: A nearly identical musical clock is found illustrated on page 211 of Bower’s Encyclopedia of Automatic Musical Instruments. SIZE: 8’6″ h x 25″ w x 15″ d. PROVENANCE: Dr. Charles Bradley, Lubbock, TX. CONDITION: Music box mechanism in very nice, original condition. Operates properly, should be cleaned and oiled.
