ANTIQUE COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY REVOLVER. Cal. 32 Colt. SN 126095. Blue & case colored with 7-1/2″ bbl, 1-line block letter address with caliber on left side of bbl & on left front web of trigger guard. Left side of frame has 3-line patent numbers & it is fitted with eagle, rampant Colt hard rubber grips. Accompanied by a Colt factory letter identifying this revolver as having been shipped Sept. 19, 1891 to Dr. Augustenens Marrietta, address not available. CONDITION: Fine to very fine. Bbl retains 93-95% strong bright orig blue with muzzle edge wear & a few light handling & use marks. Front sight has been altered by shortening & slightly narrowing. Frame retains about 30% orig case colors, strong in sheltered areas with balance turned silver. Hammer retains about 95% orig case colors, strong & bright on sides, dark on top. Grip frame retains about 50-60% thin orig finish, strong around trigger guard, thin on backstrap. Grips are sound, probably not orig to this gun & show moderate to heavy wear. Cylinder retains strong blue in flutes with outer diameter a blue/brown patina. Mechanics are crisp, bright shiny bore with a small spot or two of light rust. 4-57521 (6,000-8,000)
