THREE GORHAM AESTHETIC MOVEMENT COPPER & MIXED METAL TRAYS. Last quarter 19th century. The first example, a rectangular tray with notched corners overlaid in silver with flying bird and butterfly above a flowering plant, marked on underside with anchor above “Gorham Co/B73/E”. The second tray, a hammered copper example mounted in one corner with a crouching frog, marked on the underside with an anchor above “Gorham Co/Y87”. The third tray, a square undertray of hammered brass, the opposing corners mounted with silver rondels cast with Oriental figures. The underside stamped with an anchor above “Gorham Co/Y50/0”. SIZE: Tray 1: 9-3/4″ l x 7-1/2″ w. Tray 2: 7-3/4″ l x 6-1/4″ w. Tray 3: 5-1/2″ l x 5-1/2″ w. CONDITION: Very good overall with old surfaces, the undertray with one slightly bent corner.
