RARE SPECIAL ORDER WINCHESTER MODEL 1886 LEVER ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 40-82. SN 108132. Special order semi-deluxe rifle with 30″ oct bbl, full magazine, half nickel front sight with screw, semi-buckhorn rear sight & close couple dbl set triggers. It is mounted in uncheckered wood with pistol grip stock & crescent buttplate. CONDITION: Good to very good. Bbl & magazine tube retain mostly a dark brown patina with strong blue in the very sheltered areas & has light pitting over the top three flats & side flats. Receiver is a silver/gray patina with light pitting. Wood is nicked, dinged & scratched with several bruises and a gouge or two and has been cleaned. Trigger will not set & the adjustment screw is frozen, otherwise mechanics are fine. Strong dark bore. 4-56467 JR495 (5,500-7,000)
