DELUXE WINCHESTER MODEL 1886 TAKEDOWN LEVER ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 33 WCF. SN 158360. Very late rifle with 24″ lightweight tapered rnd bbl, ivory bead pedestal mounted hunting front sight, Lyman 6A folding sight in the rear seat and a Lyman Model 56A receiver sight. It has half magazine with beautiful center crotch cut, flame grain, American walnut wood with “H” style checkered forearm and capped, pistol grip stock with checkered steel buttplate. CONDITION: Fine to very fine. Bbl retains 92-93% strong orig blue, thinning over the forearm area. Receiver retains about 65-70% orig blue, primarily on the sides, with the balance turning silver. Wood is sound with minor light nicks & scratches, with the forearm retaining a fine old patina and the buttstock about all of a professionally restored finish. Fine mechanics, brilliant shiny bore.
