SETH THOMAS OFFICE CALENDAR #5. Last quarter of the 19th Century. The carved walnut case with double dial perpetual calendar, the cresting with trefoil elements, the case with free-standing columns centering a door with two molded apertures and having burl insets. Upper dial marked “Seth Thomas” and with subsidiary seconds dial above a calendar dial with month, day, and date. Eight-day, single weight driven movement. The case pediment mounted with an oval glass observation window for pendulum. Pendulum, weight & door key present. SIZE: 50″ l x 24″ w x 8″ d. PROVENANCE: Dr. Charles Bradley, Lubbock, TX.
